Limoni are everywhere in Sorrento – bright yellow painted on ceramics, dainty bottles of limoncello, and lemons the size of softballs at fruit stands. The Amalfi Coast and Sorrento area produces several different kinds of lemons, from gigantic, bumpy ones that are good for marmalade, to juicy and luscious ones good for the liqueur limoncello, lemon juice, and of course, gelato.
